Jessie James Decker........................Born Jessica Rose James, Decker's somewhat exotic birthplace was a product of her being raised in a military family. Decker's family was a military one and was based in Louisiana when she was just nine years old. The singer won the talent contest with the song Patsy Montana's I Want to Be a Cowboy's Sweetheart. Decker resided in Georgia when she was fifteen years old. She began writing songs and made frequent visits to Nashville. To find an agreement, she met with record labels and music publishers. Songs were released to record companies as well as other artists through an agent from Big Yellow Dog Records agent when she was 17. Decker was just 17 when she was able to catch the attention of a representative from Big Yellow Dog Records. They began selling her music to labels and artists. Her first album a self-titled effort under the moniker Jessie James arrived in August 2009. Jessie James, which featured Wanted as a hit single in the Top 40 Singles Charts was moderately successful. However while Decker has always believed she was an artist from the country scene, her album was produced and marketed with a pop audience in minds. Decker was dissatisfied by the two other singles that were released from the album, challenged against the management of the label to get more control. Decker then released her second single Boys in the Summer which is more than a country track. Decker launched her sophomore album with two titles: Sweet American Dreams or Daughter of a Gypsy. Mercury put it on hold when the first three singles failed to make it onto the charts for country music. Decker then was let be released from her contract.
